10.5° driver. 3 wood 22 and 18° hybrids 4-SW and TS putter. Thinking of putting my old PFG putter back in the bag.

the new srixon hyrids, are they any different from the other older model??

yes – there was a change in their shape about 4-5 months ago……not any different and only changed cause i’d caved the face in on mine……don’t bother changing

no worries then, geez they are great hybrids. I stumbled upon them by accident really, just saw 2 sitting in a hock shop (barely used) for 60 bucks each..said to the guy could he do any better, got them for $100, since realised thats a good deal. I love scouring hock shops because they often dont know the value of things

I’m finding a 9.5 Bridgestone J33P (375cc) is giving me the best launch angle and distance of all the drivers I’ve tried. I’ll admit I haven’t tried a huge cross section of drivers. Although they’ve been tested properly over a reasonable period of time. The shaft in the J33P is a stock Adila NV green, and without being profiled for me it works fine.

I've got a few fairway wooods (haven't tried the hybrids yet) and switch between a TM 13, Burrows 18, TM 22* and a Burrows 24.
My irons are Cobra's with rifle 5.5 and are about to be replaced. I should get fitted, but the Bridgstone GC midsize on ebay in soft 431 S/S is tempting me considering I can increase the lie by 2 or more degree's.
My wedges are either a set of 3 Burrows or Cobras Tour's in 54 and 60* I'd like to try some new wedges mainly on what I read here. However, my wedge play is one of my strenghs so I'm reluctant to change. My putter is a Wilson Kirk Currie semi mallet and I'm more than happy with it.

Not all of us are “club junkines”!!!

Driver: Titleist 905R (2 weeks old – replaced Calloway X 460) 3 Wood: Titleist 906R (I think!) Hybrid: Calloway something! Irons: 3-w : Titleist 775 CB (replaced Precept Tour Edition 2 weeks ago) SW: Precept Tour edition Putter: Nike

Having used Precept for about 15 years, I was OS in May and had to use a rental set. I tried both the Calloway X forged irons and the Titleist – guess which ones I liked the best!

My bad drives with the Calloway used to be big horrible slices – and the club sounded “tinny”. Since I changed the the Titleist I haven’t even hit a single fade – everything that misses is going left, and the sound and feel is just so much better.

To be honnest I actually find there is a big difference between some of the drivers that I have had, I had a Superquad that was a lower loft than my Bridgestone drivers and with the same shaft it launched WAY WAY higher (too high) so I got rid of it, I’m yet to hit the Burner the Adams Comp or the R580XD Tour (I should be able to on the weekend)

I’m just searching for what works, the Bridgestone with the Accuflex is awefully close I just need to launch it a couple of degrees higher and spin it less… which is what the Burner should do ;)

I have my good and then very very bad days with my swing it seems to be great or very bad… part of the problem lies with only playing a couple of times a month at the moment, I should play a little more in the future as I am in the process of changing clubs to something a little closer to home.

Yes HISPL – we have a problem. Seriously though, with all the different claims manufacturers make about drivers, what sort of variations do you find between all these bad boys, assuming your swing is reasonably consistent…?
