Topic: Golf Equipment / A question for Nigel Oldridge.

I went to Nuw Zulland last year and proudly wore my Tahs jersey into the maccas at Rotorua and copped all sorts.

One simple question shut them up and made them make my flat white very quickly – “How many World cups have the All Blacks won again?”.

The flat white was delicious.

Canberra.

You never have to worry about your beer getting warm here. Played on Saturday afternoon in a cracking 6 degrees with about a 40km wind. Very enjoyable.

This is starting to get entertaining….

Do you have a sister?

No but i’ve got a brother, if you putt that way.

Might pass on that. But I think Chachi might be interested!

No handicap. That is bullshit. Why would I give you a head start just because you are no bloody good?

Your club fitting skills should be enough help to you.

Yeah right!

How about we play for $1000 a hole while we are at it. Do you have the balls?

By the way, I fitted my own clubs, and the Acushnet science van checked them a few months afterwards and they told me that they could not have beaten what I set up for myself.

Sounds like you would have set me up at .5 inch over. X100 shafts. Driver 9.5 deg with V2 X flex. Only problem would have been that you would have used Wishon, Henry Griffitts or some other dribble…..

Topic: Golf Talk / Lorena Ochoa

A shame to see that one of golf’s great losing streaks has come to an end with Lorena Ochoa winning the Dykes On Spikes British Open.

This is a cause of considerable angst to me as there is nothing better than watching a losing streak, and watching the anguish it brings to that person or team.

Was there anything more amusing than watching Mickelson self-destruct when in contention in a major? Or Queensland cricket taking the gas after Christmas each year, despite recuiting world-class players? Collingwood winning the flag in 1990 was a dissappointment, but at least we still have Geelong on a 40 year losing streak.

Long live the long term losers! They bring enjoyment, and amusement to the rest of us.

At least there is still Colin Montgomerie…

At the end of the day, you can’t take any notice of somebody you don’t respect.

Since Nigel is a retarded C grader (and dribbling wanker), I choose to ignore him as his opinion carries no weight.

Topic: Golf Equipment / Nippon shafts - how do they play?

Just watched a Japanese porno, Land Of The Rising Sons.

There were plenty of Nippon shafts in use, and they all performed.

Topic: The Lounge / What gets up your goat?

People who farm their handicaps (ie people who deliberately make sure their handicap is a few shots higher than it should be, either by NCRing or by pulling the handbreak).

There are a few of them in Canberra who come from European descent. Any person in Canberra knows who I am talking about. These people never win anything in a singles competition, but myseriously seem to win everything in 4BBB or ambrose.

These people are bloody cheats. Unfortunately the authorities are too scared to do anything about it because they are worried about litigation.

It sucks.

Thankyou all for respecting our privacy.

Jeffrey – if you go to Google Images and type in retard – you won’t have too much trouble finding the picture. It was a photo taken of Chachi in one of his dress up sessions.

You seem to imply that Tai was asking a loaded question. In the time taken to reply to him, you could have simply said the guru’s name etc?

Topic: Golf Equipment / Seeing Padrig used Wilson Staff will we see it rise in popularity

Unlikely. Wilson don’t exactly market themselves well compared to Callaway, TaylorMade and Acushnet.

The fat shaft was the demise of Wilson. While the idea was sound, they made a horrible wooshing sound when swinging them.

Cool mate, but is what is you name, where have you worked and history etc… Just interested to know?

Apparently you have a reason for your question. May we ask what that is? And perhaps you could share who you are and something of your credentials. Thanks

I don’t think that it is an unreasonable question. Is the guru PGA qualified and to what level? There seem to be a lot of people listening to him. It is only reasonable that people are reassured that the guru is “legit”.

Topic: Golf Equipment / Are Mizuno irons worth it?

The thing about Japans forged irons, they look the part and are magic to look at, But they are not going to make you play your irons any better. I own some (honma). They are the rolex of golf clubs. Do they play any better than my made in china forged iron, Short answer no.I also own a miura putter looks the business do I putt any better with it no. If you like the finer things in life go for it, but remmber any good cast or forged head, with a good design will play just as well.Weather it’s made in Japan or not.

You cannot possibly compare Mizunos to china rubbish. Maybe a retarded one armed monkey couldn’t tell the difference, but any golfer worth their weight could tell just by hitting them (without checking the stamps).

I would love to see the reaction of these ladies, if they saw a photo of the guy who wanted to “hit the hay” with them!!!!! (smile)

Maybe Karrie would have the same twisted sense of attraction and go for it! Think I am on the wrong team though.
