Topic: Golf Talk / Driving distance yeah have to agree with the general theme of this thread, some very vivid imaginations when it comes to genuine driving distances & at the end of the day it dont really matter, object is to get ball in the hole…................... |

Topic: Golf Equipment / What's ur fav club?? You get that much run? kiwi, fairly hard & fast fairways where i play in queensland at the moment but that will reduce when the rain arrives this week & definitely less run in summer when a lot of rain. probably the oppposite from what you experience in your part of the world hey |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Wrong ball choice? have been using the callaway hx hot bite for about 3 weeks, probably the first time i have used the same ball consistently. have found it definitely reduces the “damage” on bad shots & fairly receptive into greens. So far i can not fault although they do scuff up reasonably quickly…..... stick with them for a few more weeks and see how it all pans out. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / What's ur fav club?? slightly off topic, but i am constantly amazed in forum chats how many people hit drivers 250m & 3 woods 200m . Play a lot of golf with low h/cappers (2-6) and come accross very few who can hit this long either consistently or straight. seems this is now somehow considered more important than keeping ball in play which will work better for most of us all day long….. anyway back to the topic cleveland launcher 9.5 stiff shaft, realistically travels 190-210 on fly & runs out 30-40 so max for me would be 250, more like 220-230 on a consisitent basis. cleveland cg10 52 & 56 wedges, very reliable, accurate clubs |

Topic: Ask Golf Guru - Golf Instruction / alignment try standing behind ball, pick your target in the distance (tree etc) then pick a mark about 1 metre ahead of the ball on the same line. move to stand square with ball, line up club face with short mark and put feet into position from there, then smack the shite out of it.good luck |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Offset of Putter have been using an offset 2 ball putter for the last few months and averaging 30 putts a game, for me this type of putter definitely releases the ball with better forward momentum. this helps a smooth putting stroke rather than a force which i was previously doing, but remember putting is all individual feel….. |

Topic: Rules of Golf / moving rake in bunker i am sure i have a read a decision here before but could not when i searched. players ball is in front of bunker, rake is in back of bunker in the interests of speeding up play players picks up rake & places near where hs taking shot, not raking in the process, is there any problem with this & a relevant decsion / ruling appreciated – thanks |
