Topic: Golf Talk / Presidents Cup
Yeah, apparently he put his hand up for 2011 and was surprised to be offered 09 as well. I also liked the way he talked up the golfers that were coming and the interest it would generate in sponsors not only from within Oz but worldwide. Got the feeling he was intimating a possible kick start in golf sponsorship for Oz events may flow from this event. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Presidents Cup Any of you guys see the interview with Greg Norman and freddie Couples on the Golf Show last night. I was very impressed with the attitude of both. Great ambassadors for the game and their respective countries. Yeah I know Greg may as well be a yank, but still good to see that he classifies himself as a tru blue Oz. Also interesting that Greg has accepted an invitation to play the 09 Master and hopes to play on the PGA or Seniors Tour at least once a month in 09. |

Topic: The Lounge / Presidents Cup Maybe the wrong spot for this. Think I’ll shift this to Golf Talk where it;s probably more appropriate |

Topic: Ask Golf Guru - Golf Instruction / Styles' journey to Scratch and beyond!
Sweeeet. I can only echo the thoughts and comments of others. From reading this thread over the months it would seem a lot of frustration comes up during the course of your description of the rounds. After Guru’s visit, obviously a few little tweeks were made that have got you on the front foot as far as swing and ball striking goes. (I am assuming your swing has always been pure, just some adjustments required) Would seem that you have also done some tweeking to the mental part of your game (from your last couple of descriptions, not so much emphasis on the frustration although it was obviously still there a bit) and hopefully the rest will fall into place for that enviable outcome you seek. Find that ‘Happy Place’ to go to. LOL…:) |

I just don’t think our boys are firing at present and some of them seem to have lost a bit of the mental edge. |

Topic: Sports Talk / Fantasy Cricket comp - India V Australia Yeah thought it strange that Ponting did not bowl him. Given his consistent line and length wicket to wicket, he was a prime for getting some lbw’s. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / $9.92 golf balls Why the confusion guys?? I think driver 33 is more explaining why his suspicions are aroused as to the quality of the product by way of highlighting some of the spelling/grammatical errors of the person offering up the balls. One would think a company, I assume an individual would not be making these items, would at least proof read their advert before posting. Hence through the errors, a dubious connotation is drawn toward the person offering said items. Beside that, Tai would have probably have just bought the balls and not told us about it. |
