Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Warrnambool

warrnambool is now in good condition from when u played it in october, i get down there and play 2-3 times a month when i travel to geelong for work. it was being cored and since the new head greenkeeper the course is a treat, played it yesterday and the greens are in good nick, they have filled the bunkers on 11 and turning them into grasss mounds... 13th i think is a great hole. more trees are being pulled out to give a links style effect.
but really, u dont come accross many better courses, underrated

i was playin in a school comp a fair while back, i had an old wood, one of those old wooden ones... anyway i was coming 2nd and only needed a double bogey on the 2nd easiest hole on the course to win after the leader was in the group ahead and stuffed up. anyway the hole was 2nd easiest only 280m par 4 and i decided to be a hero and take out this wood which i had only ever hit once. i had a huge swing and hit the ball but the club head went flying of the shaft and over a fence onto a main road and missed a car by about 30cm... as for the ball it went about 30m into a creek, i ended up having to drop, took a 3 putt, lost the game and my wooden driver!

Framlingham Golf Course
