Topic: Can of Worms..... Aged Care Good news Peg. There are some good facilities out there, mainly due to the staff and volunteers involved, and usually community owned as well. Hope it continues to live up to your initial impressions. I know there is a similar community built and owned Aged Care facility in my home town and I hear good things about it also. |

Topic: Can of Worms..... Aged Care The whole aged care industry (not just high care) needs a total overhaul. The “fees” they charge make the banks and credit card companies looks like mother teresa. |

Topic: Can of Worms..... Aged Care Little bit of info for those interested in strokes and their symptoms.. Also known as TIA’s….Or mini strokes. No bleeding, temporary blockage. A transient ischemic attack (TIA) is when blood flow to a part of the brain stops for a brief period of time. A person will have stroke-like symptoms for up to 1-2 hours. |

Topic: Can of Worms..... Aged Care Watched my grampa piss himself while driving a truck (he thought) in his wheel chair. Not much has changed, wife’s gran died a couple of years ago in an old folks place after her alzheimers got really aggressive and rendered her a veg and her old man was out of his depth. My parents are now touching 70 and both in Scotland and I am here ( only child) so it worries me too as to what can happen as my dad has been a smoker for 60yrs and a prime naval p ower drinker for 55yrs. Anyhow, hope all gets better for ya mate, |

Topic: HELP Local Rules!!!!!!!!! Rules of Golf, Part A – App 1 Local Rules. Furthermore breach of a local rule in matchplay is loss of hole and if you lost the match I believe you have the right to a rematch or indeed victory due to your oponents breach of said local rule. |

Topic: HELP Local Rules!!!!!!!!! If a local rule is in force it is there to be taken advantage of. If there is a person or opponent for some unknown reason who doesn’t want to take advantage of the local rules it is there choice to do so. Like publish said it is in force to anyone until removed from the local rules board |

Topic: HELP Local Rules!!!!!!!!! however the I was advised that as I was competing in the Club Matchplay Championships both players had to agree to use the local rule otherwise you had to play the ball as it lies.It doesn’t matter whether it’s matchplay or stroke, if it’s written on the Temporary Local Rules board at the time, then it’s in force. If they want to remove it for a competition, they have to wipe it off. |
