Topic: New clubs advice wanted for hacker Wixy from the sounds of your post you have pretty much made up your mind about what you want, you should have a go of them before you buy. if you are specifically looking for Mizunos do a google search for them, there is an Australian distributor and they have a list of fitting centers and demo days on their site, the same would go for Ping. if you are able to spend a reasonable amount of time on your golf then buying a set aimed at a lower handicap may be worth it. otherwise go for clubs that help you out |

Topic: New clubs advice wanted for hacker If you have never been fitted then buying online doesn’t make sense. You have to know what suits you before you can do that. |

Topic: New clubs advice wanted for hacker Well said Boof.Wixy find yourself some Demo days & go & check out several brands. I personally bought the Cobra FPs & love them but in the long run it comes down to personal preference PS Check out Demo days in the search option at the top of the page, there is quite a bit of info in there. |

Topic: New clubs advice wanted for hacker Nice rant Mick, and absolutely true. Wixy, post a bit more info about your game, what’s your handicap? If you don’t have one then what is your normal score? How addicted are you? Maybe find a pro that you can connect with, have a lesson or two and if it feels right get him/her to fit you. |

Topic: New clubs advice wanted for hacker I love my Lind Blackhawks but anyway … The OP should be trying to get to some demo days and seeing what works for him instead of people ramming Lind, Cobra, insertrandomgolfbrandhere down his throat. It’s like people that pour money into their car audio. What I think sounds great sound like s* to everyone – it’s personal taste and feel. End rant. Cheers, Mick |

Topic: New clubs advice wanted for hacker As per so many posts on the forum, check out Lind Golf (do a quick google search). As I said, you’ll also see a whole post on Lind Golf here. I haven’t used them, although there are plenty here that seemed to be stoked by them and they really are a hot price! Brad seems to know customer service as well. MW PS…Does Dwayne work for Acushnet??? |

Topic: New clubs advice wanted for hacker My golf game is going nowhere fast and I think part of the reason is that my clubs are 30 years old. I want to purchase quality new clubs and have my eye on a set from either Ping or Mizuno. I’ve particularly got my eye on the Mizuno MP-57 (on looks alone). I understand this model is ‘supposed’ to be suited to low to mid handicappers but is this really the case? Is it possible to obtain significant discounts on these brands here? Is there much of a price differential between AUS and US? Any recommendations for shops in Melbourne which stock these brands and can professionally and properly fit them? Finally, if I was to purchase clubs from a shop that doesnt offer a fitting service, is it possible to take the clubs somewhere to have them fitted? |
