Topic: Golf Talk / Sandringham Demo Day. I arrived straight after work at 6.15 and most of the OEM's were set to leave at 7pm. By the time I had gone through a large bucket (105 balls) testing the TM range, the others had just left. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Sandringham Demo Day. yes indeed i was quite fortunate. mau: yes as i understand the burner 860 is very new.. the first i saw of it was in this months copy of "Golf Magazine" - page 12. I've just checked the TM website and there is indeed info on it: http://www.taylormadegolf.c... Also I wasn't aware that there were variations of the RAC irons at this early stage. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Sandringham Demo Day. Today I was fortunate enough to head down to the Sandringham driving range demo day they had going on. In attendance were TaylorMade, Ping, Adams, Pro Simmons, Mizuno, Nike and several others. As soon as I arrived I headed straight for the TM guys. Got myself a R320, R360, Burner 860 and R540 driver to test out. First hit with a R320 went straight as a die - a good 220m odd hit. I was absolutely amazed, to say the least. I proceeded to a few dozen balls and all just felt sooo good. Then had a few swings with the R540 (9.5) and although it was very similar to R320, in the distance I was getting.. The ball flight was considerably higher and a lot more spin was generated, therefore when I slightly miss hit a shot it really curved in an uncontrolable manner. This I didn't like at all. Lasty I hit a few with the new burner (860 -9.5), and was very impressed with the ball flight and distance this club was generating. I felt it be very forgiving and I would most definately recommend this club to a 10 < handicapper. I'm gonna get me a TM R320 very soon. They also had an array of irons for demo use. The 320's, 360's, X-03's and the new RAC's. I was fortunate enough to test em all out and the felt RAC's to be the best iron I've used in ages. Was very impressed. By the time I had finished testing out the TM range the other manufactures had left, so unfortunately I didn't get to check out an of the other gear. But I wasn't fussed. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Australian Masters Very true, it was a well deserved victory. A little disappointing that Scott couldn't make a few putts throughout the week. He would've fleet the field, had that been the case. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Golf Balls The Maxfli A10's are said to be the longest ball on tour and my favourite at the moment. Followed closely behind by the Callaway HX Red (2 piece) and the Nike Tour Accuracy TW. |

Topic: Golf Talk / PGA Championship Tipping - Let's Try Again I'll go with the same combination as bebox: Baddeley over Scott by 3 After following both of these 2 youngs guns at the Aus Open I was very impressed with the length Badds was getting off the tee, aswell as his putting and Scotts tremendous iron play.. Pity he couldn't put together his short game. I knew it was going to be a long last round for Scott after missing that easy 4 foot par put at the first. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Australian Open Personally I thought Badds' pants weren't too bad at all. Different isn't necessarily bad. Also like to add that he was striking them sweetly today, particularly his drive on the 18th - It was a bomb!! Fortunately I had a first hand view. |

Topic: Ask Bruce / Making $$$ on the Aus Open Did I miss something? So Allenby is playing after all? I thought he was competing in some tournament in South Africa instead and subsequently he was receiving quite a lot of publicity over his choice. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Maxfli Noodle I purchased a sleave of noodles today and was fortunate enough to give them a vigerous workout. My first impressions were that the ball was simply too hard and I wasn't able to generate enough spin around the greens and subsequently I was finding that I was rolling off the back of a lot greens. Having said that, I must admit that the noodles do travel a hell of a long way. Anyhow I shal continue on my merry way to find a perfectly constructed ball. |

Topic: Golf Equipment / Maxfli Noodle Mmm very interesting. I must get myself a sleave to test out and $10 sounds more than reasonable. I'm currently playing the Nick Tour Accuracy TW and although its the best ball I've hit to date, it simply doesnt have the durability that I'm after. I find that a solidly hit short iron in most cases, causes the ball to scuff and by the end of a round the ball is almost unplayable. |

Topic: Golf Talk / Online Golf Stores I'm looking for a competitive online golf store that stocks a wide variety of golfing equipment.. I've come across Golfworks and Drummond Golf - which is currently under construction. But neither display the wide variety that im after.. Anyone know of any others? I realise that the best way to purchase golfing equipment is best done by physically checking out a relevant store, but i rarely find the time. |

Topic: Your Favourite Golf Courses / Woodlands - Vic
I was fortunate enough to get a round in at Woodlands this
afternoon and was pleasantly surprised how challenging the course
really is. The greens are as tough as they come, both extremely
small, with a lighting quick surface to match. The fairways are
tight and the rough quite dense. Although the course isn't in
its prime condition(so im told), I was still very impressed with
the challenging layout. |
