The Prize

The winner will be offered a 1-year internship at Cashmore Design, the salary commensurate with the qualifications and value of the person by negotiation; the internship may commence as early as September 2005; he/she would be expected to work with us on this specific project, as well as on many other golf course designs currently being undertaken by the practice.

For further information go to http://www.iseekgolf.com/golfarchitecture/competition.php

Good luck!

Tony,

I take it Greg Ramsey didn't find the site, it's not quite Barnbougle Dunes is it. I'm guessing that the Queensland and Florida entries would start favourite as anyone with swamp experience must have a head start. Oh and are there really clams in the swamp?

On a slightly more serious note - I take it the contour intervals are 1m and that the proposed marina somehow needs to get access to the Ocean via a channel outside the boundaries indicated on the map.

JJ

Tony,

It looks too hard, how about you just do a design for the property and we sit around and criticise it.

Considering how much time you waste on this forum, I doubt you'd be missed 69'er.

That is a sensational competition!
Original competition, just a shame I have no idea about putting ideas from my head onto paper.

Good luck to everyone

Jack, there is more chance of me flying to the moon than applying for this competition.

Why not Henry - are you allergic to yellow cardigans and miniature poodles?

Jack, not only am I allergic to yellow cardigans and miniature poodles (!), I'm also allergic to being labelled a hypocrite by working for Tony Cashmore. Furthermore, I'm planning to go overseas in the middle of next year, which would be impossible if I was employed full-time.

Henry - very shortsighted. Just think how your vocabulary would expand by being around Cashy 12 hours a day - you'd be talking in verse in no time - heck you might even learn how to play the piano and recite poetry at the dinner table - just the thing for an up and coming young leafy green eastern suburbs type like your good self.

An opportunity not to be missed.
