It's an in joke and grumpy dwarf doesn't like the place.

I'm a member there and happy to host a round and show you around buddy.

Let me know your dance card the next couple of weeks... I'll look to have a hit there as well.

Hi Guys, I have been a member here for a number of years but not really that active as a contributor. I am now in a position where I would like to take the next step in my golf development by becoming a member at a club . I would like some feedback/recommendations regarding some clubs that might be suitable for me. I usually pay green fees and regularly play at the local tracks near where I live like Ivanhoe, Bundoora, Royal Northcote and Royal Park. I have 1 mate that I play with regularly however have been playing solo recently which is becoming boring.

By way of background I live in Brunswick. I am keen to play on Saturdays and whenever I get a chance during the week. I have lots of flexibility with work at the moment so I can probably play once or twice during the week. I am looking for value for money, a good challenging course (preferably in the north or west) but also a club that isn't stuck in the 50's. I have never played in a competition before or had a handicap however I can break 90 quite easily on most days.

Any contribution/feedback would be greatly appreciated. My current options as I see them are:

1. Northern

2. Club Mandalay (not sure this is a club membership per se- more of a yearly pass)

3. Growling Frog (same comment as above)

4. Yarra Bend (same comment as above)

5. Mt Derrimut

Cheers

Enjoying the course is one fundamental. Enjoying the members company something to consider too. An atmosphere you enjoy being around.
