Hey peeps,

I am trialling he jumbomax grips.

Bought a set of 13 a few weeks ago and piloted 4 (D, 3W, 3H and 6i) last sunday.

I felt that it did not make or feel like it made a whole lot of difference in the feel on any club but the driver. The driver did feel like it needed a bit of lead tape on the head but I will give it a few rounds before I make any changes.

Today I had the rest of my irons regripped with them.

From about 30-40 balls at the range and 1 round in which I must've used the grips for about 20 shots I am quite liking the grips.

Anyone else tried them?

I've been using Golf Pride Tour Wrap jumbo grips for some time and quite like them. Standard grips feel far too skinny.

I bought some tacki-mac grips which are supposedly copies, but they aren't quite as good.

Both irons and drivers should not have fat grips, you will be of line on your shots.
Fat grips are ok for putting only

well, i have played 2 rounds with the jumbomaxes on all my clubs.....cannot ascertain any major impact on my ball flight or my distances.... i am still struggling to swing in good rhythm but the old golf prides would not have helped there either.....

results thus far are largely inconclusive on whether they have improved my accuracy....the experiment will remain alive given there has been no appreciable deterioration in bal-striking attributable to the grip change....

besides the larger grips do feel better in hand....for obvious reasons ;-D

So the statement below holds even less water then

I think the opposite, it holds swimming pools of water.
These guys are the best golfers, they can use a frozen cat to hit golf balls better than us mugs, so a grip thickness would have little change.
So there you go bud !
