Title pretty much says it all! How long or how many rounds between regrip for you?

Thinking of doing my first lol, current irons only 7 years old, and probably 400 rounds :)

Doing me ok have come in during that time from 11 to 2 :)

Hey, I don't know much about handicap stuff, but I was curious so looked at your link ... its says "GA" is a 3 ...

Does it get rounded down playing easier course? Is that what the 'slope' things is all about?

I don't understand ... on a lot of your rounds, it says 'par' if 72, but the "DSR" and "scratch rating" is 69 ... what's that mean?

Oh, and as for re-gripping ... never done it, If they get a bit slippery, I just use a bit of sandpaper and scruff 'em up a bit...

My 1st thought too

“I will put my b***s in your mouth. And I will give you some money to make you feel good.”

Just Counting my money. “I don’t care about that match point—would you care if you were 23 and worth over $10 million?”

Nothing is my fault!

I'm Granking!

That's one of the best compliments I could get.

It's definitely true that they won't get worn out when I shoot the low scores I do ;)

no, not what you meant?

I am still taking it as a compliment

haha

It's not so much a question of how old your grips are, but what condition they're in.

If they're no longer 'grippy' or 'tacky', you could try washing them in warm soapy water then a good rinse. If that doesn't help much, replacement is best.

Similarly if they have worn areas, they should be replaced.

It's not the grips you have to worry about at Mt Isa but the sole of the club!

If the grip gets worn to the point where it starts to resemble a mould of your fingers then you have to regrip them because you can't play competition with a moulded grip. Corded grips usually come back well from a wash with a bit of soapy water and a scourer. You can wash plain rubber but they tend to lose their tackiness and need to be replaced.

3 is accurate. Typing on a phone with fat fingers :) but yes it does work the way you said. To play to my handicap I have to shoot par on our course. The slope is also lower than standard so it does bring it down a bit.

Have washed the grips with soapy water twice a year for the last few years but it think it’s time for new ones. Don’t grip tight so not overly worn in any single spot.

The mount isa course is fine if you stay in the middle :) nearly back to completely covered with grass on all holes again thanks to an awesome greens keeper. It only gets rocky if you go off the green stuff :) makes for an interesting day :)

just a little follow up. There was a deal on Golf Pride multis at GCO so picked up some. Grabbed an air compressor and wallah it was super quick and easy. Played a round with them the other day and it was great.

Cant recommend doing them yourselves enough. Not hard at all.

If your not tinkering with your clubs in one way or another at least once a month, then you're not doing it right I reckon. ;)

And how many tapes are under your grips ? Would be easier to go midsize or jumbo :)

Tinkered with my MP57's the other day Jon.

Same amount of tapes on that set, (4 per), just lengthened the clubs and regripped with the old man Lamkin Arthritics. ;)
