Just like you play ‘golf’.

I have never claimed to play golf. I have clubs and hit the ball way more than most. I dance, like no other. It's a gift.

I was down at the park this afternoon with my two bltches and there was an older lady practicing her pitching.

I said to the Mrs I could fix her up in two seconds with one easy tip. She said no don’t bother her, but I ignored the karnt and went over.

I said to her tell me to go away if you want but I think I can help you.

She was like no, no please do.

I showed her what she was doing and how to fix it.

Halfway around our next lap of the park she is giving me the thumbs up and calls me over when we get closer.

She said that is the best Xmas present I could have asked for.

It made my day.

Have I mentioned I gave The Nats *Champ a lesson the week before his victory.

I’m good, real good.

On the weekend our little club had a two person ambrose day.... all fun

Part of the day is that we play one of the par 3's twice and on that hole our local member and also touring professional is there hitting a signed ball by their sponsor. balls are purchased and funds go back into course maintenance .....

We played early doors so that one of the group could get to work, which he wouldn't have been able to do if he had hit off during the shotgun start....

We had had just finished when touring pro was heading off to tee in preparation for the day at hand. naturally we did the right thing and all 4 purchased a ball.

I had a sleeve of my ball of choice with me and asked if these could be signed.... Yes no problems, I signed your hat last year..... L4G Hat, balls done

Now the dilemma, does one keep them for oneself or does one do the right in the spirit of xmas and send them off to the main man of coloured balls ....

Easy decision, balls will be heading there way to him in due course and after speaking with him he is chuffed. makes a nice change to be able to give something back to a fellow who is so generous to others.....

Have a good xmas Ben and family

Send us some rain, it would be appreciated

though for the 1st time in the last 12 months council has taken town off level 6 water restrictions and dropped us back to level 5

Unlike Santa, I can't get around to all of you overnight, or within the rest of my lifetime probably.  So instead I, will take this opportunity to wish the entire ISG family an extremely safe and happy Xmas with your loved ones.  May it be full of joy, wonderment and merriment.  Over the ensuing Yuletide period, I will do my level best to have a beer for cheer for each and every one of you.  Don't know how many that is, but I'll just keep on trying until I think I've got there. :D   MERRY XMAS EVERYONE!!!!

If you put your mind it, could you remember the last time you got to play father christmas? (or mother christmas for those on here of the fairer sex).

And I don't mean the sneaking around the house with the new bike so your kids wake up to true delight. Although I'm looking forward to that.

No, in this case I'm talking real random acts of giving?

From saturday it is officially the season to be jolly and I have an offer. Whoever has the most impressive story, I'm picking up their flights to the nationals. If you already live there, its a bottle or three of very, very good red.

Are there terms and conditions? Probably not. I just think 2018 should be a generous year. Anyone keen?

Well the time has come to announce our winner!

There were some interesting and varied contributions to our initiative this time around. The judging panel were torn by the heart wrenching humanitarianism coursing through the Iseek cohort.

With that in mind, the entry that most reflected the spirit of the thread was from Smergen!

Congratulations! Given your proximity to the Nationals it may be the "bottle or three" option that is required, let us know if something may have changed in that regard.

See you all at the Nats and happy new year!!

Good point. While I avoided rules and t&c’s in the most part for the initiative (which may have reflected on the entry quality one wonders aloud) I don’t think it would be considered unreasonable to actually show up to a Nationals to receive a prize aimed at Nationals attendance. Over to you Smergen.

I made my missus a cup of tea yesterday, and went to the bakery and bought a loaf of bread. Is this the type of selfless act of charity that's likely to win?

True... with it's proximity to Bathurst on the Calendar it does take some extra work on the Brownie Point Accumulation Scheme.

Roger... and I agree. If I can't make it, I'm happy for my wine to be regifted to someone who displays the traits of which I would be proud. Midtable Mediocrity and a whole heap of banter....

Scored a "jingle bells" shot yesterday that I had never seen before. My tee shot ended in a cupped lie just off the fairway. I needed to hit 160 metres over a creek to an elevated green. One of my playing partners was down near the creek searching for his ball.
I bladed my shot straight at him and heard a clanging sound. Firstly I thought my ball was in the creek, but one of the group saw the ball lodged between a couple of iron heads in the bag of the lad searching for his ball. Luckily his bag was not in the hazard so I got a free drop. He got 'Santa' for the rest of the round.
