Hi iseekgolfers,

Just wanted to find out how many times you go out for a round of 18 holes golf per week.

It would be good to know your age, family status, time to drive to your home course, job status, whether you socialize after a round etc.

I will kick start:

  • Age: 41
  • Married with one child below 1 yo.
  • Currently choosing home course to become a member. Considering a few different options which will range from 15 mins to 30 mins drive.
  • Full time corporate.
  • I do enjoy a glass or two after a round.
  • Play once a week at least and try to squeeze in some range time. If lucky I can play 2 times a week!

  • Age: 35
  • Married with two girl children, the larger one is 4 years and one smaller child is 7 months.
  • My home course is about a 12 hour drive away
  • Full time corporate and part time student
  • If I am out I will always try and stay to socialise, but normally I will need to get back home to the girls
  • I have three recorded entries in my golflink this year, it will be one more after this weekend

  • Age: 38
  • Married with no kids
  • My home course is 6min away
  • 4on / 4off FIFO roster (offshore gas platform).
  • Will generally hang around for a soft drink or 2
  • Don't play at all for 4 weeks straight while working. Will play 4-5 times a week while home, and hit the range or the chipping/putting green on the other days

  • Age: 42
  • Married with two kids, the older girl is 7 years (Grade 1) and the younger girl is 5 years (Kinder)
  • Home course is 2 hours drive (have previously been also member closer to home) wasn't playing enough to justify it though when girl 2 came along.
  • Full time Researcher - considerable amount of travel involved
  • Always will go in for a round of drinks (usually more) if I can
  • 8 rounds in my Golflink for last 12 months (3 in one tournament weekend). Older girl has an interest in playing so get out for 9 holes with her every 2-3 weeks depending on kids birthday parties etc. and life in general.

Retired, married 75 years old. Play 2 18 hole rounds a week at 7.a.m., .Saturday and Wednesday. Non drinker but have a coffee with mates after the round for an hour or so.
Manage to play a few 9 holes as well during the week but I am spoiled because My house backs on to the golf course.
Have adult children but grandsons often visit and I am able to use the practice facilities with them. Have started playing in a 9 hole twilight comp with a 10 year old grandson.

33, married, 2 year old daughter, work full time.

Usually twice a week (Saturday/Sunday) and on the off occasion 3 times a week. Saturday is non-negotiable generally but always happy to miss the Sunday if the misses wants to do something.

Edit: Course is a 15 minute drive and I will usually go in for a couple sherbets after the round. So normal day will get home around 2 and 3 pm (leave home 7:30am).

Old fart, retired, no longer married, all kids are now adults.

Main course is just under 10 mins away but regularly play at a dozen or so other courses mostly within 60km. Sometimes further afield, next week at Rossdale, Sale the week after.

162 rounds so far this year, but 16 were only nine holes. So, near enough to 4 rounds per week.

Nearly always have a drink or two after each round.

And then I drive home and run into my ...........no I can't do it, it's just too many times now.  It is in danger of getting repetitive.

64 married still; almost fully retired,3 daughters and 5 grand kids who live nearby.

My home course is 5 minutes away

I play 18 holes about once a week, 9 holes social golf about twice per week, practise and walk the dog on Wednesday morning. He is a lousy caddie.

Stay for presentation and have one beer with my playing partners
