Missed 1ft putt for next 59 on last hole.

That one time I was so close to a hole in one. If only my ball hadnt clipped the edge of the water hazard and fell in, all it needed to do was roll about another 80 yards and travel across a multi tiered green for a hole in one.

My question is this,

 

You can play the "what if" game indefinitely really.

 

It works the other way as well which lots of people forget.

 

For example, "if only i just made a couple of putts i would have won" while conveniently forgetting all the times the ball got a good bounce or flicked off some trees back to the fairway, finished in the trees but with a perfect shot at the flag, etc, etc....

true, however, it is based on just missing out on winning by a couple of shots..... how many shots did the winner ‘what if’also
