USA could go close. But some of the Big USA Guns will have to play well and overcome some class players.

Using the Mouldy predictor these are the results

Rory vs Thomas (Rory out of form) correct

Casey vs Koepka (Koepka has won majors this year) (half)

Rose  vs Simpson (Rose is a great match play player) (wrong)

Rohm vs WOODS (This could be the decider-) (wrong)

Fleetwood vs Finau (Fleetwood in form this ryder cup) (wrong)

Poulter vs DJ (Poulter is a great match play player) (correct)

Oleson vs Speith (Speith is class) (wrong)

Garcia vs Fowler ( who will loose the least number of balls) (wrong)

Moulinari vs Phil ( Not a contest) (correct)

Hatton vs Reed (reed just- maybe half) (correct)

Stenson vs Watson (Stenson is great match play player) Correct)

Noren vs Dechambeau (This could go either way depending on nerves) (wrong)

Europe 5 vs USA 7

IF Finau and DJ can get up it might just inspire the younger guys and drive the result over line.

Final score Europe 15 vs 13 USA

correct predictions: 5,5 /12

Upsets :

Finau over fleetwood

Simpson over Rose

Olsen over speith

Rahm over woods.

well done to Europe.

Woods might be good for USA TV ratings but not for the team

Phil might be good for USA TV ratings but not for the team.

Tiger woods will win the Ryder cup!

How'd that go? :)

Fanastic win by the European nobodies against the 12 best players in World/US TV ratings.

USA youngsters showed heart (Fowler, Speith, Thomas). But Tiger, DJ, Phil etc all looked like they'd sooner be on holidays. Team stuff just don't sit well with them.

😂 That was sarcasm on my behalf.
Was some good watching in the singles last night.

I managed to stay awake long enough to see Poulter win and at that stage it was over.

Fantastic 3 days of golf...other than watching the Youtube of Iron Monkey in a bunker, the most entertaining golf viewing of the year.

Now, I know Tiger won last week.

But how is World No 8 beating World No 13 an upset?

Despite what US media would have us think, players on tour now are not in awe of Tiger. He no longer bombs the ball 50 meters past them when on song. And I doubt anyone worries John Rahm head to head.

What about Molinari’s effort? 5 points from 5 matches - that’s a phenomenal performance. Watched Thorbjorn Oleson demolish Spieth - that was good viewing.

Go Europe!!! Nice to see both Noren and Stenson (being Swedish myself) win their singles. I was a bit surprised to see Stenson so late in the draw, but I think Bjorn basically wanted a good match player towards the end just in case it got close.

I also think the venue was perfect for the European team and not so good for the Americans. It was more of a thinking mans course instead of a "bombing drives on every single hole" course as evidenced by the number of irons, hybrids and metal woods used from the tees.

I wonder what an average 10-hcp or so might shoot from the back? 110-120?

Also fascinating to hear the commentators say that the greens were much slower than the Americans are used to when they were at 11.5-12 on the stimp meter!  ;)

I have played on greens that fast maybe once or twice and it is like putting on a pool table!

Course was in favour of shorter hitters and better iron players. Took Koepka, Johnson and Watson’s advantage away.
Europe got more out of its rookies than USA did out of theirs

Patrick Reed seems to have achieved the impossible...hated by the Euros AND his own team.

Good win Pob.

Changed my sleeping and drinking patterns such was the great viewing. I actually enjoyed it more than the Masters. Probably because we got to see so much more than Tiger.

Furyk's captain's picks were a disastrous fail and cost them the cup.

Personally I don't mind Patrick Reed. He's their version of Poulter (on the course, not off it maybe).

He certainly has the passion. And he was one of few who stood up in the singles even after his disastrous first 2 days.

And he wasn't alone in being cr@p for 2 days. A lot of the US team were cr@p for all 3. US fans blaming him for Tiger losing 4 is off the mark.

Tiger needed no help to lose all 4. He has a shocking overall record when paired with anybody.

Maybe all great match players are assholes by definition, devoid of empathy.
Would have loved to seen Poulter vs Reed in match 6 instead of DJ
