Starting to get back into it after a three and a half year spelll.

Have a few days off work, any suggestions of country places to play say within 90 mins ish west of Melb.

Had a pleasant day at Trentham last week, would like to have a hit at a few places I haven't played before.  Have played Bacchus, Gisborne, Eynesbury and Creswick before.

country courses well i think kyenton  , Woodend, buningyong , Ballarat, curl lewis, elcho park(not the best conditions)  Geelong  , east geelong (the old Geelong golf course which is now a 9 holer),  Queens Park Geelong , Barwon Valley golf club Geelong,  Bacchus Marsh West Golf Course , Hepburn Springs, Midlands,  Mt xaviour,  Clifton Springs, Ballan

I am not saying these tracks are the ducks nuts  some have good layouts some will have ok greens some will provide you with challenges  eg Hepburn Springs you will need to be a mountain goat to play here but does have some great holes....

I AM ALWAYS FORCED TO DO SH1T I'M NOT QUALIFIED FOR. LIKE BEING NICE TO BLOODY ID1OTS :P :D

Thanks Oz

A few good ideas there.

I just want somewhere quiet and not too brutal to have a hit while I try to get back into it.

Agreed, but Horsham is a bit far.

Enjoyed a game at Kyneton on Wednesday.

If you want a friendly game in the comp head up to Beaufort on a Saturday. Course is a solid country course without too many issues - usually can start and finish with the same ball. You will always be welcome at the club.

Other courses to have a look at West of Melbourne that Ozdevil didn't mention include Gisborne, Melton Valley, Bacchus Marsh, Midlands (Ballarat), Goonawarra (Sunbury). None of those courses would be too busy on weekdays. Plenty of options.
