Played with a +3 golfer last Saturday, "Man he could putt"

 Dropped putts from everywhere.

His back swing was maybe 5 inches evan on 15footers, short putts evan less I was surprised that he had power to get the ball rolling until I tried doing the same, I have been practicing his short back swing stroke and Its like a hole new game. I am getting putts.
Any comments appreciated

The shorter the backswing, the less likely the putter is taken back off line. It also encourages the follow through which should be down the target line. I try to hit the ball on the upswing and put a forward roll on the ball, so as to roll the ball towards the hole. That also helps to focus the brain on keeping the putter face square to the target line.

I think Phil Michelson uses this method, keeping one constant in the stroke or something like that.
