Hey all. I'm a first year student at Griffith on the Gold Coast and we've been given an assignment that involves designing a particular piece of golfing equipment.

I've made a survey to find out what demographic I'd be making it for.

Sorry if this isn't somewhere I should be posting this, but I don't know any golfer's personally.

It's quick and online and if only a few people could fill it in that would be such a huge help. The assignment is 25% so I'd really appreciate input from you guys.

Its anonymous and not every question is required.

Again, sorry if this is inappropriate for this forum, and thank you in advance should anyone choose to complete it.

Done to help the kid out, but I really do question the need to know how much a person earns and what they own.  WTF has that got to do with golf.  Maybe it is trying to identify if it is only played by people in a particular socio-economic profile??

It's really market research to determine whether golfers might be interested in some expensive green reading machine that they're not allowed to use, except for practice.

It's to see what kind of thing would be practical to design based on how much the demographic could spend.

It helps the design process by letting me see if I'm making something like an app that is generally fairly affordable or if I can go further and include hardware or features that would drum up the price.

I didn't mean to offend anyone, just wanted to make sure that what I designed was accessible financially to those that it would be marketed towards.

I think there was a bit of misunderstanding with the final question.

It's something that measures the players competency in reading the green, not something that reads the green for the player. So it would be used to help the player improve on their ability through feedback, not do it for them.

The answers have been really insightful!

Where has the survey gone? Not showing for me.

I was going to suggest an electric restraining order. You and the member you hate both wear a wrist band and if you get within 30 feet of each other you both get an electric shock.

How many bands can you get on a wrist?

An assigment is an assignment where believing it will shape your future is a figment of your imagination. The f is just a Freudian slip.
