The other day I noticed some pilling on some of my favourite socks.

Does anyone know how I can fix this and stop it from happening again in the future?

I want to be able to tuck my pants into my socks when playing golf, without looking like a plonker.

Many thanks in advance.

That's cute, we tuck Miss Three's jarmies into her socks so they don't ride up while she's sleeping. But I'm not sure if you're serious about tucking yours in while you play golf.

Because you've started this, I assume it's a joke because adults wouldn't be tucking their socks into their pants, especially while playing golf.
Hahaha

When you play golf south of Queensland it can get quite wet underfoot.

The only course I can think you may need to do this at in Queensland would be Royal Pines. Hopefully I can get some tips on how to fix my socks before I play there in October.

It’s quite embarrassing.

If you wash the socks inside-out, the pilling will then appear on the inside of the socks and not be visible.

You can use a de-piller, but it may tear holes in the socks.

I'll keep playing along with your joke to crash it down with some facts!

you'll barely notice any pilling on white golf socks so that is another reason I think you are having a laugh. The polyester in white sports socks won't pill anyway.

The only pilling I have seen is on an old pair of Grandma's black bed socks, you know those thicker ones that old people wear in the retirement homes, when they too have their jimmy-jams tucked into their socks. But that is mostly so the mice and cockroaches don't crawl up their legs at night.
