a couple of the lads from up here, one from Piney and one from Turfer's course got to play for Yarra Yarra in Pennants.

I am sure they liked the course too.

Played YY a few years back and I just love the feel and style of the place, and adore their short par 3s - just so stunning

They hosted our group really well from a players perspective

We also played Huntingdale which was a great experience. Didn’t love the course the same way but loved the history of it. I could easily be a member there - really enjoyed the course.

We've played YY members at YY and our club over the past 5 years ; always found their members to be personable and great company on the course and afterwards. New course layout is good ; the par 3's are fantastic. Also staff were very pleasant. YY should be one club for you to consider.

Be wary though of YY - the course is incredibly busy and getting on the timesheets when you (and your mates) want can be a real issue.

Warragul CC?

The members there don’t mind a drink after a round or during and before.

I have also heard great things about Eynesbury GC, I think you get a free enema when you join there.

Woodlands and SV are not technically part of the Sandbelt courses.  PK is.

The Sandbelt is a business name made up and used by RM, Vic, Metro, KH, Huntingdale, YY, Comm and Peninsula golf clubs. This group has been using the " Sandbelt " moniker for several decades now.

The region in bayside Melbourne that geologically holds the sandy loam runs through several courses in the SE suburbs. The percentage and amount of sand that SV and Woodlands sit on is probably as much if not similar to some of the aforementioned clubs.

i understand that. sandbelt has more connotations than the earth they are on, but they factor design elements as well. Those clubs brought the brand together.

We’ve got many sandbelt courses here in Qld but not even close to compare to there!;)
