Distance

In what though?

Driver distance wouldn't be noticeable and the only distance gains I can see would be in the irons, which if you're dropping spin off them isn't really that much of a benefit I don't think.

Both I would assume.

I agree but if you're a 60 YO bloke with a 70mph swing speed, you probably don't spin it enough to get any ball to stop, so a bit of extra distance might be worth chasing.

That's a point.

And i suppose from a marketing perspective, anything you can advertise that goes further is probably going to make money.

That's probably the real point, it works well with clubs so why not with balls.

You have to understand the editorial description better ,,,,

LOW SPIN |  is not low spin it is lower spin  than the ProV1 and ProV1X and still much more spin than the TourSoft

SOFTEST | they seem much softer on full shorts than the ProV1 and ProV1X but the cover feels harder than both when putting.

it is not as soft as the TourSoft though which is also quieter,,,,,

One of the PGA trainees at work was at a Titleist fitting recently and he is a ProV1X player high trajectory / high spin 115 mph

he liked the ball for his game and even though the partial wedge spin was down a bit he gained a lot more control on many of

his other shots,,,, and enjoyed the softer / more forgiving feel.

All ball choices are compromises,,,,, Titleist though did need a ball to help keep players from leaking to Callaway,,,,, that were

looking for a softer overall feel and good distance / spin ,,,, what will now be interesting is the new ProV1 and X in September

as they are now due looking at their 2 year cycles.

I tried one on Saturday - nearly had a hole in one on the first - so I would have loved it.

I was not sure about it - I will have to take it on the chipping green and compare Prov1.

I found it went a bit further... did not hold as much as Prov1, but was not a good day for me so not a good indication.

Found a near new the other week (so you can loose them as easy as any other ball) Used it next round and it did seem to fly lower than other balls i use. The main thing i noticed was how well the cover held up barley a scuff mark on it after a full round compared to the TP5X i'm currently gaming.

lower, longer and spins less, you won't suck these back but they do hop and stop, nice ball.
