Had only witnessed two over a decade or so. Had lipped out and two putted enough times that figured I'd never get one...

... then a comp in 2014, ended up with an albatross.

Not a round to remember as only ever use the driver that hole if given up playing to handicap.

A big zero for me. Closest was hitting first out of bounds then the next in the hole.

Came across a father and son having an interesting debate one time. Son had a hole in one, but father never had. Did state he had an albatross though, which I think would trump the hole in one (was obviously on a par 5).

Had mine at Hervey Bay few years ago. Hole had a trap across the front of green, couldn’t see the hole, searched for ball everywhere, one of the group looked in hole, there she was.

Witnessed a HIO during Pampling Plate last year in the 12th hole at work. The other trainees in the group said it was the only decent shot poor bugger had hit so far during the round.
