Time to improve my putting , several lip outs on Saturday.

I've looked at wellmats  and a few others but basically I'm a begineer and looking to improve.

I average four 3 puts per round so I'm not shocking but certainly not good either.

Wondering what if any putting mats you have.

Also need to pickup a net for the garden for hitting some long irons

Can buy putting mat from Bunnings by the meter. It’s ok. Quite speedy. Cheap. Has a slight grain. Mines in the garage. Lives a good uphill and a silly fast downhill. Edges curl up a little if you don hold them flat for a while.

I think it’s getting better as you saw. I’m trying to do 5 minutes of string line drill every day. More than that and I can’t cope. Basically set a fine string up about 2 inches off the ground. Practice the stroke keeping the string over the sight line in the putter all the way. It’s amazing how I tend to wobble off it. This was a tip from my pro.

I picked up one of those skilz trainer mats with the ball return and use it a fair bit, its helped my speed but my brain is the real problem with putting.
