The "Work life balance" cliche ... is not an entitlement to earn more.

This concept of 'work life balance' entitlement is unfortunately, IMO, one of the key fears that fuels the ignorant debate.

Fear, as in FOMO.

Fear Of Missing Out.

As the old saying goes, walk a thousand miles in a man's shoes before you judge him.

It's too easy for the Unions to throw stones at business and make them the cause of the workers lack of entitlements.

Interestingly, in history, do we all know which government introduction taxation on non salary benefits like a company car? Or, for that matter, which political party was at the core of, and legislated for the taxation of your accrued lump sum annual leave when you get it paid to you on termination of employment?

Now, as for the workers CPI wage increase, can we all remember which government first brought in a central system for ensuring it was capped at CPI?

Please, do not get fuelled by misinformation. As Asian Mouldy's mathematics show it is possibly best to get information from fact checked sources that publish information without bias.

"The Conversation" is a good source IMO. It is though, somewhat limited on golf swing tips or putting techniques.

It's also the age of entitlement, and unfortunately this is being passed onto the next generation of kids. FOMO permeates parenting at all levels, and I fought hard for ages not to get an iPad for my now 6yo.

The year he turned 4, we introduced an incentive program for him to earn the iPad through good behaviour. The moment we got it for him, grandma decided to get my 2yo one and robbed me of my chance to teach him a similar lesson.

I really do worry for the next generation after the millenials as they are already bang up for rights over responsibility.

Some other rules that need to change.
The MFB and CFA have negotiated a new EBA. The reporting by the media was imo my biased than any reports in recent memory.
To accuse the Union of rorting and extortion over the terms and conditions of members who risk their lives in the line of duty is a strong indication of rules out of wack with the rest of the workforce.

So let's get the government to subsidise the free economy with unsustainable monetary and fiscal policies then? The government does not sit on an endless font of cash. Have you seen our national debt levels?

Please use some logic to support your position or suggestions.

Come on over.  We'll get you all straightened out on how to rack up debt here, and while I'm at it - free gun lessons!

I have family in LA, and my cousin has married a dude in the US army. You can keep your debt levels and guns. They dont really agree with my skin condition.

Depending on how you look at it, my personal debt is around $65,700usd as a citizen, or $174,200usd as a taxpayer.  Multiply the first number by 3 or the second number by 2 to determine our share of my government's debt.

F-me, I need a drink.

No man, I'd teach you how to miss clay pigeons and pheasants like you were trying to miss them.
