Marched today in Melbourne. 100,000 strong. We are Union. Corporate media and Conservatives ruled by Corporate policy need to start listening to the workers.
The rules are broken. Change the rules.

do you have any examples of which rules are broken, and how would you go about fixing them?

In Sydney train drivers were denied the right to strike because the Fair Work Commission ruled it would be too disruptive to the city commuters.

Lets start with the one where corporations are taxed 10% flat rate on their revenue (minus tax paid on expenditure) and only 30% on their nett profit compared to workers who are taxed increasingly on their revenue and on their expenditure without meaningful avenues for deduction.

Id love it if my food and housing costs reduced my taxable income.

Had to go 2kms out of the city to get my car looked at...took 30 minutes to get back in. I don't think I'm your target audience.

That's a very positive start, now how do you propose that gets resolved?
Would you take the decision to strike and appoval to take industrial action out of the hands of an independent umpire and let the employees decided when to strike?

It's a very simplistic response, but revenue is required for businesses to pay their employees. Without revenue, there is no money for wages. Without profit, there is no money for growth and without growth there is no provisions for wage increases.

I thoughht this was a workers rights rally thread and not a taxation policy rally?

You realise corporations employ the people in Australia? Make Australia even more tax restrictive and watch the investment in business get driven overseas.

Our wages are already quite expensive, relatively speaking, and has already made manufacturing increasingly unviable here.

Bump you are assuming that the umpire you reference is actually independent.
