4th option applies to you doofus!!!

No, I'm still selective. There are usually a few crappy ones in there, that I haven't ejected.

Options aren't absolute OB. If there were then most surveys wouldn't even matter. Pick one instead of picking on the survey.

I’m between the first and second options - use a new ball but wouldn’t change out for a scuff

Yesterday....and most times.......I sort through the balls (various types and brands) in my bag and consider 3 or 4 options.   i.e. Titleist, Callaway, Taylormade etc.   The balls I picked yesterday was a second or third time used, Vision green.   I had a second or third time used Vision Red, Callaway Chromesoft and Titleist V1.   Ended up going with the Vision green and it lasted all day without losing it....and I was playing well so I kept playing with it.   If I lose it I grab one of the other 3 that are in the netting of my buggy.  Ended up winning the MM but unfortunately had to retire it to the practice ball pocket in the bag after the round.

Playing off 10.1 G/L yesterday.

Cheers guys. Interesting spread. For those that are playing new I guess I should have also asked why? Do you see an observable benefit to play and performance? Or is it just what you do?

Pretty much every comp I'll use a new ball. The course I'm a member at and on which I play most of my rounds does not have much in way of Water Hazards and it's very rare for me to lose a ball during a round.

After a round the ball is slightly beat up and then makes it to my "practice balls" pocket in the bag. Whenever I'm out practicing or playing a social that's where I go for balls.

Definitely enjoy playing with new balls, they look mint obviously but even that new ball feel and smell get me going :D Not to mention they are much easier to find should you stray off the fairway. And at least I can't fault the ball if it's not following instructions!

I use bright orange Volviks that are like flouro vests. Can't lose them at Keysie, only drown them. The balls stay very clean and bright for 4-5 rounds. I'm going all out for a win tomorrow so I'll break in a new ball just to get my game day focus.

Usually break out a new one for medal days, Clubbies, honour board events.

Yes. I always start a round with a new ball. I will replace it with a new or slightly used ball if I lose it or if it gets stuffed up.

I always use TaylorMade TP and will do so until I finish the 6 dozen balls I have. I find there is too many inconsistencies in my game, it would be good to have one constant.

I didn’t know Volvik was code for something.
