So today I revisited the future... used the red ball
Why.... hmmmm
Thursday's hit and swear nine hole yet another wtf drive with the yellow ball ended up with only one option. Close your eyes, cross ya legs and pray to whoever that the 3 wood that you are using doesn't result in injury..... gap threaded between 2 trees and ball is cantering down the fairway you beauty....
Further study of balls low flight path reveals a dreaded black thing on fairway... chance of knocking some sense into it.... bugger missed. Black mongrel took hasty evasion action looked at what had caused the sudden movement and decided it was fair game.... yellow ball was last seen departing the golf course....

So red ball in play.... 37 points later yep this is a good ball
Highlights... backspin.... wtf
Properly hit low lob wedge that stopped like a stunned elephant.... you little beauty...
Putting was goodish... left a lot out there though
Performed as expected off tee and second shots..
So signed for 37 points and won a farking Callaway Supersoft.... gosh

And I guess there is always next week

Tried a Snell ball yesterday at Boz's request. If anyone else has feedback for him that would be handy.

I found that it felt and sounded good off the club, especially driver...probably got a little more distance than the red, though I rarely hit 2 identical shots. Pulls up well from high approach on the green and was nice to putt with, rolls well and stops quickly once initial speed washes off.

Would have liked to have given it more holes but as per usual, a shite shot saw it disappear into the never never.

I got there demo pack about 18 months ago or so.
Liked the ball a lot. A little clicky, but did everything well.
Not as long as the PTX Blue
But it discoloured very quickly to an eggshell sort of colour which sucked.

Rummaging through my dwindling supply a couple of weeks ago, I found the last one still brand new.
First hit, stright into the pisss.

So no more followup feedback im afraid

Thanks JB,

Hi Rob this ball is a little different its the Fantom (Vision) made MTB RED ,,, which is the slightly higher

compression 4 piece version of my 3 Piece RED ,,,, it is very similar to my ball except it is a bit firmer

which allows for a little more distance which was the only partial negative to the initial Vision PTX Red.

USA reviews have been good to date and the 4 piece was going to be released as the new Vision PTX by

this Christmas,,,,,,,,

The white is my type of Pro-White but as we know that was not as bright as the PTV Bright White.

Dean's supply chain partners have taken over my factory so 2019 maybe a new approach by me?

Cheers,

Boz

Ummm I don't think I have used a Snell Golf Ball.....

On another note continued with the back to future theme and signed for another round of 37 points on Saturday...... using the Red Ball

Finally had a chance to sit down and think about the round....

Only 3 decent drives, not the balls fault

Hit the ball well off the fairway apart from 3 WTF'S on 3 consecutive holes that lead to certain amount of frustration and a lot of scrambling to score anything....

No 3 Putts

Chipped the ball from close range really well, apart from one that was teethed and flow the green, all the rest were really good. Ball landed and stopped like a butterfly with sore feet and resulted in finishing the day with 37 points....

Now if one could work out the secret to using the driver :( :( :(

Is the Red ball better than the yellow ball...... not sure I am comfortable using both..... the use of one is governed by what the resident black mongrels are up to

Well as xmas draws close upon us I need to revisit the golf course and see if I can find my swing that went AWOL on Saturday in a 2 person ambrose event..... Two Saturdays in a row of 37 points followed by a what the fark was that day..... Wouldn't have mattered what golf ball I was using... doubtful if a guided missile would have helped but got to the last and all of the group had not played real well and we were all laughing about various stuffed up shots...

A big thanks to my mate Boz for being there as not only a golf ball supplier of note, but as a friend..... has been a tough year up here...

To all that are part of this journey I wish one and all a happy Xmas and a safe and prosperous New Year, and I know that Boz has plans for next year that could turn out to be another interesting step in the learning journey that I for one have really enjoyed being part of. To Boz and and family take care bloke, I know that this year has had its challenges but I am confident that next year will be better..... It has to be especially up here, it has to farking well rain.....

Hey Boz,

Package received just in time for Christmas last week!  Took them out for a round on Monday at Waterford Valley - first time I've played there and the balls did not disappoint!

I lobbed a few to some mates (the PTVs) who were impressed with the ball flight, they were definitely hitting them much straighter, but they felt they were a little shorter than other options.  The end result for my mate who plays off 10 was more GIRs and a whole bunch of birdie opportunities so I'm sure he can't complain :)

They were also commenting on the cover treatment and the gel-look covering was very impressive.

Not sure when my next opportunity for another round would be, but cannot wait to hit 'em again!

cheers again and wishing you another year of continued success!

Hi Boz, someone suggested i ask this question in here as you may be able to offer some insight.

Why is it when using the DT Trusoft am i able to get a nice draw shape with most my shots but when i use a TM TP5 i seem to get more of a gentle fade shape. This is using the same stance, same swing, same ball position ect. Anyone have some insight?

Thanks

Interesting results ,,,, lower compression DT surlyn cover probably gets pumped with your smash factor and stays with the club face

a touch longer the TP5 higher compression which could leave it straighter or towards the right if right handed and perhaps lower as well,,,,

Had our 1st pennant match yesterday.
Off the tips too which can be hard for bunters.
Team won 8 & 1/2 to 2 & 1/2.
We (bully) and I won our match 5 & 4.
Awesome caddy.
Solid front 9 of 2 over set the platform.

Used a vision blue ball.
Wasnt sure if it was the right choice with hard summer greens but worked out ok.
Crackin ball.
Good work Boz.
