Course was good.

Rough had an 'edge' about an inch higher than the fairway all around so the 'roll' into water wasn't a factor.

Greens were good. Bunkers had good quality and quantity of sand too.

We'll have to play there for a Friday afternoon round. If it's as empty as Monday, we'll get 18 in if we tee of by 1pm. Price ATM after 12.30 is $59.50 for 18 with cart.

i think that is same price before 1230 as well

Online booking had it as $69.50 before 12.30.

Just checked now, today is $59.50 all day, but tomorrow is $69.50 with Saturday n Sunday back to $59.50 ATM.... I'm guessing they are doing supply and demand pricing?

Bit of testing at the home track yesterday afternoon. With only one blue left until the next care package arrives from Boz, I used it on approach shots and putting while driver was with V1x / v1.

Blue stuck greens ok. They were fast, but receptive / soft. I played the ball teed and dropped the blue as a second shot, and a few red too.

Blue feels good off irons. Red too, but I'm liking the extra distance off the blue.

I was 118m out on the par 4 7th. Took 8i and dropped V1x pin high right, but GIR. Blue went 15m longer. Red went pin high left.

Putted them all out for par. Was tricky getting the feel of the blue off the putter compared to the red n V1x.

I'm leaning toward the blue being my game ball for the foreseeable future. I like the extra distance which will be handy playing off the back markers. I'm also liking the putter zip too.

In my limited testing and from my limited ability, I'd say red stops quicker.

On a scale...

V1 is a fly closer to the hole, bounce, bounce stop type of ball for me.

PTX red, is a fly, bounce, bounce roll about 1m type of ball for me.

PTX blue is a fly, bounce, roll a few metres type of ball for me.

Obviously shot type and club has an impact.

I find the blue 'pops' off the club more and flies slightly higher too. Red feels more like a V1.

Thanks Hack,,,,,

Hi Peg,

I find they both spin but the RED is designed to spin more by a fair amount more ,,,,,

so I find the RED is a drop and stop ball depending on your trajectory and it can back up if you are

able to hit down and through properly and basically trap it efficiently like all tour balls,,,,

Cheers,

Boz

Thanks mate
Played something that resembled golf on Saturday.... some was okay, some was utter shite... wind blowing from all points of the compass did not help...
Somehow ended up with 31 points for the day....
What I did do well was scramble and that was assisted greatly by the way the ball gripped on green with shots from inside 50mtrs... not backspin just grip and stop...
Keep up the great work mate
