The Blue PTX specs have worked very well for a large number of players I am looking to use something

like this to tackle the B330RXS / TourSoft / Project(S) in the proshops ,,,,, PTV will be showing up in more

NSW shops,,, at present I dont see a way a good pathway interstate but NSW wwill be 100 + shops by

Christmas.

The gloves should be in up to 20 bowls shops in the near future,,,,, the gloves work just as well for bowls.

I will continue testing through here though but it is a pity the numbers today are somewhat limited,,,

Thanks,

Boz

Forgive me Boz as I feel I must be becoming more senile by the day... I'm sure it has been explained in the last 50 pages or so, but it's late...What is the difference between the PTX and the PTV balls please.

From my experience over these past few years depending on how hard you are hitting there was some extra

juice in a 80-95 ball compression ,,,, the smart internals are allowing the softer balls to go good distances but

its the well made 3 /4 piece designs that can max out the distances when compared to a great 2 piece at the

new lower core compressions,,,,,

TruSoft and TourSoft wont go as far as the Velocity for a hard hitter ,,, but slow down the swing / reduce the smash

factor and they all play some what similar ,, so you get to choose which one feels right to you.

Hey Boz,

i have been playing the daisies and blossoms over the passed couple of weeks and a few of the playing partners have asked about why I am playing them and if I got them from the Pro Shop.  My first response with these balls has been " I don't have any trouble identifying my ball and it gives me a spot on the ball to focus on when putting".  I have also given those that have inquired a quick run down on your adventure and the path that you are on to bring value quality balls to the general golfing populace.  Pushing on the fact that not everyone can hit or for that matter afford the higher priced balls like ProV1 etc.

I don't want to give them misinformation, so if I can give them comparative balls in your range or those of the OEM's it may get them to thinking.  Still don't think they are fussed about the flowers, but it may push them toward the PTV green or olive/grey that are also in the pro shop bucket.  A couple have commented on the brightness of the UVEE yellows in the pro shop and one guy bought 3 to try at another course he plays  (Cumberland) that does not have such a problem with crows.

I'm not sure how these balls are supposed to behave, but I have found the following:-

The daisies seem a bit longer but also tend to go further sideways than the blossom, which seem to check on the green a bit better than the daisy.  Admittedly, the sideways movement could just be my swing, but daisy almost always swings further right than the blossom.  Mind you, when the draw does actually happen with the daisy, brings a smile to my face every time.

Daisy also seems to keep their cover for at least two rounds whereby the blossom is discoloured, lightly cut up and in with the practice balls after 1 round.

Hi Commish,

Interesting days for sure ,,,,, thanks for all the details as it is really helpful to hear everything you have mentioned.

The cover on the current Gokers is a RUVIX blend - TPU and Ionomer ,,,, the softer version is on the Blossoms.

The white cover colouring is not my concept , they did not listen to my advice ,,,, it should be so much brighter and longer lasting.

The balls to get the boys to try are the ProTour V (or ProSoft-808) ,,,,, but the PTX Blue is the best version when comparing but

it wont be in the proshops for a while yet as they don't think they need it yet. But until I release the new Prosoft I really prefer

most club players to try the current PTV first.

Without the crows I would have 2 new versions in play right now in UV Yellow ,,, but it wont be till later in the year a PTX

and a new ProSoft to go with the PTV version.

Cheers,

Boz

Thanks Boz.  I will hand out a few of the PTV's to those that have asked and get them to compare against their current ball.  Hopefully it may get a couple of them to invest in the Pro Shop supply and get a few more seen out on the course.

Tried to hand out 2 vision blue balls on the weekend to my playing partners but its hard to get players to test a new ball during a comp round. Both recon it may interfere with their game, I used one and smashed it long and straight all day.

I will give one of there gloves a go next

Nothing says "Told ya so" like hitting your ball 20m passed a fellow competitor of similar ability.  The gloves are at another level as well.

Redcliffe gc in an industry golf day. 9 over off stick but had a triple and a double. Played off 4 and had 34 pts

3 putts in 3ft Range missed and one 8 iron skinnynover the green cost me a couple shots

Overall am very happy with driver, 3wd, and General wedge play

Playing vision red still and dialing in my distances quite well.

Ball felt good on putter and around the greens
