You see, I have this boogie board that I need someone to carry through Bali Customs ...
No but seriously, at the end of the week I'll be flying out to Bali for 11 days of well deserved R & R.
I'm flying Virgin Economy X so I have a normal baggage allowance. 23kgs from memory.
It's not being planned as a golf trip. Just rest, relaxation, pool, beach and pretending that the rest of the world doesn't exist.
In the back of my mind, I have a gnawing little voice telling me that I should try and at least have one round while I'm there. That same gnawing voice is telling me that if I enjoy one round, then maybe I should have two.
Now back to reality, I've been doing my due diligence and looking through this website. => https://www.easygolfbali.com I remembered reading comments in forums way back when that Bali is expensive for golf. I had hoped that things had settled down a bit over the decade and they were more welcoming to the golf playing great unwashed that visits their fair shores.
Thus far, I haven't found anything close to the value the can be found in my back yard in South East Qld.
I'll be staying in Canggu. I see that Nirwana Golf Course is closed for renovations. Then, New Kuta Golf Club is pricey by Oz standards. 18 Holes with electric cart, Caddie, Mon-Thur is USD$130 pp. Throw in Club Hire @USD$35 per set and you have a round making the grand total of: AUD$214.37 I'm not too fussed on paying through the nose just to swing a club.
Is there something I'm missing? Does a member know of a good 'lurk' or good website with better deals?
If not, I'll probably give it a miss and do something just as enjoyable but not breaking the bank at the same time.
