Like most clubs we have the club comp. in our case the comp is included in our annual subs.

Additionally, we have a pro-comp which includes the NTPs. It's normally $5 a time and $10 on medal days. Usually 2 NTPs and 4 on medal day which pay $50 each. A Pro comp win is between $100-200.

The top 10-15% get their money back each day.

So for me it's about $600 per year.

I've decided it's just not worth it regardless how well I play. With winning scores in the mid 40s (today +11) one win per year would require me to break 80. Koiom or Wozz have to shoot par.

are your thinking to have Koim, wozz, Geoff Dickson and yourself join Howlong and forgo the competition golf?

What holes at K can you realistically hit green let alone make NTP

3rd - difficult to hit the green

8th = front flag off white tees = a chance - back pin difficult

12th = your game plan is to lay up to give good chance at 4/2

15th = hard to hit on so lay up is most probable shot for a 4/2.

really only one hole 8th, presents NTP chance , if flag is front.

so save your money and dont go in pro pin.

I think that means you're happy to make a tax-free cash donation to the pro-shop manager and maybe his/her employees.

All need to adopt our system. Club runs comp 13:00$ entry. 5 chances at NTP, also silver circle on the par 3 8th, hit it to 45cm or less. Depending on numbers in the comp, this prize alone is upwards of 70:00$

Base don what I have been told recently.... you are supposed to be satisfied in knowing that you are covering the "administration costs" of running the optional comp...and sleep soundly knowing that you are helping the pro shop be financially sustainable.

Comp fees are the stamp duty of the golf club industry.
