I wouldn't go that far, but he has a lean 12 months that isn't up to his normal standards. I say a rest more than ne
being dropped.

I think Australia losing this ODI series has a lot to do Smith and earner under performing as the senior players. Starc and Hazelwood have underperformed as well.

Yeah, get rid of him, a waste of space at the moment.

I reckon Warner has lost his way in regard to the constant transition between tests and one dayers, and has struggled as a result, to the point where he now has no clue in either format.

Smith and Warner are examples of why we need 3 teams. All specialists at their form of the game. Alas this is beyond the selectors imagination. Mark Waugh would have the test team playing all forms.

The next *Mouldy prediction is for Stoinis to replace Uzzie at 3 in the test team. Uzzie isn't a real blue bagger anymore so it's not controversial.

Speaking of washed up, the Big Show ensured his longer form retirement last night. He'll just make his multi-millions in 20/20 and say fcuk you to the selectors.

The leadership of Australian cricket are still in the dark ages when it comes to the newer versions of the game.

They still think that they can win any short form of the game just by bowling line and length, and with the batsmen scoring at under 5 an over.

Heard Smith on the news saying how he wants to be in charge of the one day team. The guy is another bland tosser in terms of leadership, and is one of the culprits in Australia's recent short form losses.

He's just trying to earn the most he possibly can while he's in the job, cause he would know that he's not suited to the games short form by a long way. There would be a multitude of Aussies ahead of him in terms of being picked in a 20/20 game for example.

He's scratchy at the start of each innings, and takes too long to get going, and doesn't go fast enough.

As you correctly opine Moulded Soul .... Australia needs to set up multiple teams for the various formats and focus on those and train for those alone.

If these formats and competitions don't mean that much, then just don't play in em, otherwise get serious and swing the selection axe good and proper, in every format Australia participates in. In going a step further, there should be academies specifically set up for the short versions, because test cricket will die a death in the near future I reckon.

Smith and Warner were each retained for the 2018 IPL season for the jaw-dropping price of INR 12 crore (approximately $AUD 2.4 million) by Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively.

Current form for Australia doesn't matter.

back in my day, we didn't need the use of computers or technology to undertake basic numbers calculations.

This tech reliant generation is becoming dumber and dumber by losing simple algebraic skills to the electronic fads of the minute.

This post proudly brought to you by those in an Aldi and 17 IPad free zone

The Aussie selectors ought to take a look at what the Poms are doing....

Anderson and Broad are not sighted in shorter formats of the game...

New wicket keeper is on hand

Lot of test batsmen are also rested

The Poms playing a different style of cricket as a result

The Aussies are looking tired and have the challenge coming up against the Master Race directly and some of the players need a rest from the game before heading OS....

Warner

Smith

Cummins

Hazelwood all need a rest

Starc to me looks like he is still having issues with his heel so why is he playing???

Raid the bowlers and batsmen preforming well in the BBL and give them a go

There have been some good batting efforts and we have already blooded a keeper from the BBL, bite the bullet and make some changes..sure there will be some short term pain but it could well be a long term gain
