I witnessed a remarkable round of golf yesterday by Past Captain of Huntingdale Stuart Thompson. He birdied each of the four par threes - one with a six inch putt and the other three varying from 15 to 25 feet. I wonder if anyone knows of a similar achievement. He capped off the day winning the midweek medal with net 67 off 12 handicap.

The club I used to play at years ago had a novelty event during every comp called the Diamond club in conjunction with the normal 2-ball club.

An extra $1 paid at registration and a par 3 birdie during the comp won you a couple of balls.

An extra $2 put you in the Diamond club and if you had 3 birdies you won half the pot in cash.

It wasn't won very often and I think, from memory, the pot jackpotted.

4 would have to almost as rare as a hole in one.
