I've located one of these with the right shaft and 12 deg loft that I need.

Has anyone got one of these and can comment ?

According to the reviews it has a high launching head, true or false ?

I'm still after more carry for Winter and need all the help I can get technically.

If you can't get high launch out of a 12 deg head.... it aint the club that is the problem.  More likely your AOA and hinge release at impact.

Fark....where did that come from?

If you're relying on manufacturers marketing to get the job done for you you're truly pharked.
Just tee the ball higher and hit it with an ascending blow...like you should be with driver.

Tough, I know, with your decrepit, OTT swing shape, but it's worth working on.

Well it has a more conventional COG than the adjustable taylormades where it is up front. You dont generally need as much loft if the cog is at the back of the head.

Higher launch only means more carry to a certain extent as well. If you're already launching it at 14 or 15 deg then you need to swing faster to get more carry. Thats where a launch monitor comes in handy.

12 degrees should be enough to maximise your carry ......... just remember to let the club "bottom out" before it gets to the ball ....... and not after it.

The D2's though are a solid reliable club Rob.

They're a bit like a shepherds pie ....... they may not be the most glamorous thing on the menu, but what you order is pretty much what you can expect to get from them. :D
