My nephew was coming from Sydney to stay with me over Xmas.

He's into bass playing so I found him a dvd on ebay from the USA and bought it on the 8th of December, thinking surely that will arrive before Xmas.....dead wrong.

It was posted US priority mail on the 9th and I was sent a tracking number.

Everything went well until this thing arrived in Sydney on the 16th.

The estimated arrival date to me in the West was Dec 19th-Dec27th...no probs I thought, my nephew would still be here until the 28th.

My tracking number told me it arrived in Sydney on the 16th, then it sat....and sat...and sat....

27th came and went, 28th came and went. I waved goodbye to my nephew on the 28th.

Contacted the seller and, understandably, there was nothing he could do.

Finally arrived yesterday, Jan 2nd...17 days after arriving in this wonderful country.

Jeeeezuz wept.....the worst part is....I can't even ask anyone wtf?

rant over...until next time

Thought I'd go for something tangible.....something that he will actually remember me by.

Aus Post's idea of effiency is to drop cards into mail boxes and not deliver anything. I can't remember the last time anything didn't require me to pick up.

Amazon are seriously dumb. If they had any knowledge of Oz logistics they would warehouse in Perth. Golfbox have the best setup in the country.

Apparently parcels sent from Bowral to Wollongong need to go via Sydney; then a trip to QLD and back

Underwood is the sortatation facility thank you very much, get it right. That’s what they now call themselves. We have the unfortunate ability to order on line goods that always go through Underwood, they often get lost there and can take up to a week to move on, quite often they are reported as still being at Underwood after being delivered. It appears Underwood is Queensland’s Australia post black hole. Any time you upset them no matter where you live your parcels will be directed through Underwood

Intended to break 90 this year, not going well.

Does not matter where you live, if you upset them all mail goes to Underwood sortation facility, so at some time you must have upset them.

Incorrect, they cannot read. It’s a mystery how it arrives.

My latest AusPost delivery sat in the Oakleigh South facility for a full week before going out for delivery. Then of course it wasn't delivered, the postie just stuck a card in the mailbox. Going on the queue of 20 people this is normal practice.

All this complaining about our service, don't you all realize that over the years, fellow staff members have been let go for one reason or another, economic downturn, yada yada, so unfortunately our delivery systems have suffered a tiny bit. You all expect a bit too much at times..... How many of you have 'promised' to do something and let people down????? My point exactly, so don't point the finger at all us Aus post staff, point it at upper management, that want to keep the figures looking good for all you retired old farts with shares in our company, that AGAIN, expects a decent return on your investment.......microphone dropped.
