Tis an interesting concept .....I think, and no doubt TM will have jumped through some hoops and maybe loopholes in order to get this thing ratified ........ but will it actually be of benefit once it's into the shops and into hackers hands?

If it does indeed straighten "up" errors, then there are going to be a hell of a lot of people hitting them straight ..... into the trees.

Most if not all people play a particular shape off the tee ... so the old boys who now play for their "slice" and aim left into the trees, well, they'll now start finding themselves in the left trees, rather than out in the middle or right half of the fairway.

If this thing does do what it says, then there will be a hell of a lot of people out there buying alignment sticks in order to fix their built in compensations.

As for my own thoughts ........ it's TM, so I take it all with a mountain of salt. They have maxxed out distances, they have maxxed out adjustability, so they need to have another gimmick, and this looks like it to me.

Just my thoughts though ...... :D

I might buy a Cobra driver instead.

I only own one driver and feel inadequate.

I don't think your feelings of inadequacy come from only having one driver.

The way I see it is if you always slice it you will still slice it.  It will not fix the miss caused by a misalignment of face and path.  It will fix the miss caused by gear effect and hitting the wrong part of the face.

In no way will this straighten a slice.  It will theoretically help someone like me whose bad miss is a toe hook.

This one explains it much getter.

As Toolish so elequantly explained.

If you hit high toe with a closed face, it will not hook.

BUT, if you hit hightoe with an open face, ala over the top, it will be so far right you may as well go home

Had a guy come in today looking for a new driver, and brought in his old R7 Quad ......... he couldn't find a driver he hit any better than that, and he tried all the newest ones, including the Ping G400, Micky!!
