For the last month every week I have tried to play 9 holes off our gold tees which on some holes are 50 metres in front of the lady's
It gives a completely different perspectuve of the course
As molly says 'do yourselves a favour'

My club has two Saturday comps a year off the gold tees which produces some great scores.

Two years ago a young 7 marker shot 7 under for 50 points.

They introduced the gold tees at Toc for older players who have their age and handicap combined is over 90 and there has been some good scores. It would be an interesting game to play off the gold tees with your normal handicap and see the results.

To reduce slow play we are trying to encourage more use of the gold tees
It has its own slope so can be compared to other tees in the one comp

Warra has a "Stableford Yellow Tees" on the last Tues in Feb.

Should be interesting.
