Hello golf frothers,

I’m currently a member of carrington Park which is at eagle ridge.

I would like to know everyone’s opinions on the course and if your a member of another course, why you are a member there.

Currently I’m the lowest handicapper at the club which is a Ga 5.1. It’s good golf but shouldn’t be the best of a club.

Curious to know why this is? I’m in the belief that the course is too hard? For example the dunes and St. Andrews are massively wide courses that aren’t really that hard (unless it’s maybe 30knots)

I’m a resident in rye and previous member of the dunes.

Just looking for info to increase our clubs numbers and put the feelers out for some quality golfers to come try the course out.

Cheers Dylan

why did you leave Dunes? Some serious food course down there. Too many courses and not enough population?

Yes is somewhat a factor although when I played at the dunes a lot of the members travelled from Melbourne to play there. I left there because there was no social aspect and good vibes around the club and lost motivation to play. No one would stay for a beer after their round. Eagle ridge has a great social side. All Saturday players stay behind till see who won the day and have a laugh and beers.

Also the dunes now has a waiting list for memberships. On a Saturday at eagle ridge we do well to even get 40 players.
