Only time you play in rain is if it starts after you've tee'd off.
This makes you marginally harder than Mick.
Not so hard that you can beat him off the stick, but if you really knuckle down and apply yourself, anything is possible

I must admit, I find the quest for a waterproof bag somewhat bemusing, along with rain covers and all of the associated accoutrements.  I have one waterproof pocket on my bag where I keep my phone and wallet (though with plastic money there is actually nothing in my wallet that will be harmed by getting wet), but apart from that all I have in my bag are things that aren't going to be harmed by the wet.  Are you carrying something particularly delicate?

I find it more about keeping the grips of my clubs and my spare gloves and towels as dry as possible when playing in the rain.

I've just swapped over from the waterproof bag to the stand bag in preparation for Nationals...it's quite amazing how much crap I carry around in the cart bag. Most of which won't make the trip.

That's fair enough, I will grant that.  I tend to hang the towel up inside the umbrella when it's raining and use one of those rain gloves that grips more when it is wet.

I agree with Goldy though about removing crap from the bag - I am quite blaze about assuming that whatever I need is in the bag, so it will be strange in NSW to have the bare minimum.

For me its the beanie and spare jumper I carry in my bag in case its colder than I thought.

Also its the hassle of cleaning out the pockets so it can dry once it gets wet.
