. . .  Jeff Horn is the WBO Welterweight champion of the world, if we count boxing as a sport . . .

...and we are completely boned when he retires soon. The cupboard is looking very bare for the incumbent Socceroos coach, Mooy is about it right now.

Leckie goes alright as well, thinks he's only 26 or 27.

“I will put my b***s in your mouth. And I will give you some money to make you feel good.”

Just Counting my money. “I don’t care about that match point—would you care if you were 23 and worth over $10 million?”

Yeah, I heard that. He takes a lot of criticism, more than justified I reckon.

No

Remember the days when we had guys with 10,000 Shield runs that still couldn't crack a test cap.

Now it's, oooooh he's made a ton and a 90 in the one match, he should be the new Australian no.6

If nothing else it shows either that our batting stocks are now pretty thin, and/or guys would rather ply their trade in various T20 leagues.

That's different though, they weren't related to the coach and didn't play for NSW or QLD.

Hasn't moved to Sydney therefore less chance than Austin Waugh.

Baggy blue still equals a Baggy green.

There's a total lack of batting talent in Australia. The fact that Maxwell is under consideration is a perfect example.

Standby for 3 day Ashes tests as the Poms are equally inept.

Jake had a good season last year. He may be young and green but so was Handscombe and Renshaw. I have a gut feel he may be a gun if he gets picked. Love Maxy but he may have missed his chance.
