What can be done? It is always viewed as the lesser of the four for whatever reason. I reckon it should be a world wide venue major. Play it in the US, Asia, Australia, China, where ever, but, make it a top notch venue. I suppose the time of year and travel issues would play some part.

I don't see too much wrong with it. Still more exciting than your run of the mill PGA Tour event.

Agree Chevy.

Strongest field of the 4 majors, usually good courses.

The real questions is how the Masters became a major....surely the first to go if they are going to send a major overseas

I have Masters as top one as you have to win to play. Though probably not the strongest fields at times.

Given its the top 50 in the world plus any PGA winner in the last 12 months along with a number of other exemption categories, who misses out that is demanding a spot?

I just mean there are many in the field that are exempt for various reasons that may not be top of their game but still get qualified. May not be that different I guess to other Major qualification processes?

Does the move kill off potential idea of moving event Worldwide during an Olympic year now?

The Masters has leapfrogged the PGA in terms of prestige mainly because of the quality and exclusivity of the course. But the PGA in a lot of ways has more meaning: it's the professional golfers major.
Maybe if the PGA was always at Augusta it would be the most prestigious of the lot

I get more excited about The Players Championship than the PGA Champ.

I think the course at TPC Sawgrass, like Augusta, makes the tournament that little bit more exciting.

Good question, not sure. Maybe in alternate years?

Curious if Americans consider it the least interesting of the 4 majors. They may look at it differently and consider The Open least interesting due to being overseas.

Certainly think with a bit of work the PGA could overtake US Open.
