I hear Les has passed away today. He was the voice of football (soccer) in Australia.


For my first 20 years in Australia before all the globalization and Fox sports, he was a great link for me back to "The World Game".


Right up there with the best sports commentators the world over.


RIP Les Murray.

Not really a follower of the game, but even for a lay person like me you think soccer in Australia, you think Les Murray. RIP.

Same sentiments. Nobody has done more marketing of the World Game in Australia than Les.

No doubt there will be a suitable tribute on SBS News tonight.

Les Murray is Footbul. 


RIP feller - we are seriously gathering speed in terms of losing some great iconic Australians.
