Apparently the fairways are about 50% wider than most us open courses, so it sounds like the hype about the rough is a bit overblown.

Yeah - a little Open style by the sounds

However if you hit it bad enough to go in there it's probably best to reload and not even try

Unless you're particularly skilled at the "pick it straight up and slam it straight down" type of shot

Greens are seriously tricky, p.s, haven't you guys seen the Kevi Na video he shot last Sunday???

yes, but from what i've read the fairways are wide so if you hit it in the fescue you deserve it

I don't think Jason Day will be a factor this week. His stats suggest he will struggle around a course like this.

I'd be super happy to be wrong, but I am rarely wrong.

apparently 50 to 60 yard wide fairways then 10 yards of rough before the fescue..... yes if you hit it in there you deserve it!

 

BUT

 

They have cut it down overnight because of the rain apparently making the fescue "Unplayable"
