How about NSW off-the-ball play and positioning in defence?

When you are 2-3 players up or down the line from the player with possession, youve gotta be "on".

NSW simply didn't want it enough.

Well spotted Sam.  Lazy 'A' defenders once the ball had passed the mid 1/3 allowed Qld to come back on the angle any number or times and set up raids downfield.  Cameron Smith spotted it a couple of times and made ridiculous metres from DH.  That should not happen at Origin level.  Qld went in with an expansive game plan and stuck to it brilliantly.  They all knew what Munster was capable of but nobody aimed up to smother him early and limit his time.  He is going to be one exceptional footballer.

A deserved win and us Blues supporters will have to suck it up.  As for not wanting it bad enough... They wanted it bad enough... they just did not know how to execute to get it.  Our guys just did not perform on the big stage when it mattered.  They played the first 30 mins of last nights game the same way they played the last 20 mins of game 2.

The final try should not have happened. Resting on your heels and not covering the man or open slot is simply not good enough. Moving into position especially in rugby is part of the work rate, even if its not direct on the ball contact.

Boyd is the Australian fullback playing in world's best form, I'm confident he'll go ok.
The Blues have champions all over the park and are morals on paper, again.
2-1, Maroons by 4 in game 1
Blues by 8 in game two
Maroons by 18 in game three

I was impressed by the accuracy of the game 3 score in this prediction from six weeks ago.

Woods is lazy in defence at the best of times, unless they are running within arms length.  Fafita defends as 2nd or 3rd man in and basically drops on em.  I doubt he even knows how to tackle one-on-one and wrap up the ball.  Both should never start a SOO game again.

to be fair Place, I did only pick one out of three scores correct.

Had a heap of fun on the night texting trash talk to Kiwi and the 5 Blues supporters he had at his place.

I think Snappy is still not talking SOO :)

It might even out next year with afew of the big Maroon names retiring from origin.

Just incase anyone missed it, "QUEENSLANDER" :)

Yeah, they highlighted after the game how Woods, Fafita and one or 2 others were just walking when Munster threw that pass back inside. Appalling work rate.

And agree about Fafita in the tackle. A few times he raised up and simply "flopped" his huge bulk straight back down on the player(s) underneath. Very grubby play and I think a few of the Qld'ers took exception.

No JT means no Queensland. Add the bonus of Billy's dodgy ankle.

The Mouldy unearned income has been plonked on NSW at the line -2.5 points.

Go the Roachs.
