Many people seem to think they were forged in Japan by Miura

This claim is made about a different set every year.

Miura must have the best marketing team in the history of golf.

I don't believe Miura do any mass marketing.

It is fact though that Miura have forged clubs for various OEM's

I thought the same thing, especially with the red writing.

Why would a club need to be labelled 'tour preferred' when it's a blade?
Do they label their M2's "chopper preferred"

Oi!!!!!!!!!!!

No they don't, ( not that I have noticed) I have a set.

First experienced R11, irons and only upgraded them to the M2 GI model. They look OK to me, however, I guess some people don't want to be ridiculed on the first tee cos their irons look chunky or the sole of their driver is hideous.

Must say I am in agreeance with my learned friend Bump_n_Spider about the putter

Evidence? All I've ever seen is rumour and innuendo, hence why they are the best at marketing.

Without jumping in as a TM employee, my personal opinion is that this is the best thing to happen to us in a number of years. Don't get me wrong, I'm still cautious, but everything I've researched about KPS Capital is positive. They have a track record of buying divested companies and making them extremely profitable before selling them off (contrary to private equity stigma). All of this is relatively easily searchable on Google. Now I could also be wrong, but I guess only time will tell.

My personal prediction? TM seperates itself from the pack and returns to dominant status in years to come.

Often when a company sells a "business" the new owner limits warranty claims on products sold by the previous owner.

Wonder if that will happen here?

TM is still TM - just has new shareholder, so I wouldn't expect that to impact warranties

Unless Katsuhiro Miura himself logs into this thread, will you require further proof anyway?

I generally like independent confirmation or even a logical explanation before I believe anything I read on the internet, so I remain skeptical.

There are lengthy discussions on other forums about the same thing and I've never seen anything that I would call proof being posted, not that this makes the claim untrue.
