Anyone else having issues with there internet dropping it constantly?

Looks like TPG and Telstra have been out of action for a few days.

We are with TPG and it has been rubbish since we swapped over

Mine's alright now, but it took NBN three months to fix it when it cracked.

Sorry Rob, forgot to ask. NBN or ADSL?

If it's ADSL, it all depends on whose DSLAM you're connected to at your exchange.
There's every probability that TPG are just reselling Telstra connections.

We are with TPG and it has been rubbish since we swapped over

the trade off to eliminating Isg access issues. The ying yang thing you know:)

It really seems like distance from the exchange rules ADSL access. If you're a long way away you're stuffed. NBN will make a difference.

In a good NBN story, my 89yo mother changed to NBN on Monday and it was seemless.

Been with TPG for over 8 years, pre and post NBN, never had a problem.
Intended to break 90 this year, not going well.

Concentrating just getting round the course

Some of you appear to have missed the point.
Rob's ADSL was ok and now it's not.
He simply asked if others have had similar problems in recent days.

He hasn't moved further from his local exchange.
It's irrelevant that NBN should be better.
We're all pleased for Tol and his service from TPG in Qld.

Veey true.

My internet was fine, but now it is almost non existent.
Have been trying to get through to TPG support, but havent even had a call answered yet.

There are 2 websites that say TPG and Telstra have both been rubbish for a week or 2.
This is what i was trying to confirm.

On a side note, Optus have cable, unlimited downloads for $60 per month

Im on Telstra and had recurring outages last month over a couple weeks. Some short and others a day or so at a time. Sucks as I work form home!

The reason given was they were upgrading/installing NBN in our area and that was effecting it.  Now past month no problems at all. Telstra blamed NBN and near impossible to get hold of someone for NBN.

If Telstra (and if TPG are reselling Telstra) this is a good place to start:

http://servicestatus.telstra.com/

punch in your postcode and see if any issues are around.
