FYI

Tiger Woods is the only player on the PGA Tour currently ranked in the top-10 in strokes gained tee to green (5th), strokes gained approach (4th) and strokes gained around the green (4th).

Yeah but can he putt?

I wonder if he will use the TM putter he has been testing this week.

Tiger only 4 shots off lead at the halfway.

Dropping putts helps. 65 baby....

Exactly!!

the good news is that there will still be plenty of ammunition for those whom dislike Tiger to pass judgment on his back nine on Sunday.

I would dare say that punters like cheveychase are choking on their crunchy nut corn flakes in utter disdain this morning

Wether or not  you  thought tiger wouldnt get back or not.  I believe Tiger had a great year  in coming back when many would have said he was finished when he had his back surgeries.  This may not have been a magor  like the masters or British open etc  but it was a victory  to give him the magical 80 pga tour wins and only 2 behind Sam Snead...

i say this win will keep Tiger going for a few more years yet , as many  would have found it hard to come back after  4  back surgeries  , specially how the game is going seeing all the young good golfers coming along and Tiger can still compete against them

Well done Tiger

More important for me is not the fact that he has made a comeback, but the fact that he is playing some stunning golf - it really is fantastic to watch him strike consistently incredible shots/putts. Definitely not the pedestrian, boring golf with most of the other tour players.

Didn’t even watch it. No Aussies in contention so no point. The US are now back in frenzy mode and we can all look forward to non-stop footage of Tiger at every event at the expense of other golfers, and those magnificent fans that yell ‘get in the hole’ after every Tiger shot. I can hardly wait.

People at my work today were talking about Tiger winning, they have no interest in golf whatsoever. If Rory or Phil or any other player had won I seriously doubt they would have been talking about a golf tournament. Tiger gets people interested in golf who wouldn't normally be, like no other golfer. He could play for another 10 years I reckon, 40 majors, he needs 5 of them, what are the odds? I don't know, but, like so many others I'll be watching.
