I purchased a MOTOCADDY Electric Trolley 4 years ago ,it has had minimal use ,I am still using the original battery as I only play 9 holes a week. I was having trouble as the trolley would not move ,so was told it was probably the gearbox. I check on the price of a replacement and was told the I would have to purchase the whole axle assembly at a cost of $120 plus of course postage. One of my friend decided to strip the gearbox apart and found the problem it was a warn gear . Just to let people know that this plastic gear is driven by a metal worm and it appears that this is a fairly common fault with the trolley. My friend who purchased a Parmaker at the same time and plays much more golf than I do has experienced no trouble with his, I attach picture of said gear showing wear ,this is just to let people know of Motorcaddy problems before buying one .Greenfingers

Motocaddy's  MD's explanation of fault "trolley has been overloaded with a heavy bag or indeed is being held onto whilst in use" ,how the devil you can control the trolley without holding on to it, makes one is lost for words
