WHEN an eight-year-old boy turned up in a van at a McDonald’s drive-though in the United States, staff thought they were being pranked.
According to a number of witnesses, the boy - who also had his four-year-old sister in the car - effortlessly navigated traffic in his hometown of East Palestine, Ohio.
He stopped properly at red lights and waited for traffic to pass before turning into the restaurant’s car park.
“The workers thought that the parents were in the back, which they obviously weren’t,” local police officer Jacob Koehler told the Weirton Times.
Police say the youngster taught himself to drive by watching YouTube videos, before helping himself to his dad’s keys while his parents had a nap.
